It can be scary asking for help when you’re not sure what it will look like. We get it.

Working Woman

When you arrive at Compassion Place, you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly Client Advocates. She’ll lead you into our bright and comfy support room where she will walk you through an intake questionnaire. It’s an opportunity to get get to know you, to understand your personal situation and for you to be heard.

If you are needing a pregnancy test, she will explain the proper way to collect and administer your test, and lead you to the restroom where you will be left in privacy. While you wait for the results you can ask questions, discuss our services or get to know each other. We’re here for you. To listen. To support.

If you came in for Options Support, your Client Advocate will lead you through all three options, giving you as much time as you need to ask questions, talk about your unique situation and share your thoughts and feelings in a completely judgement free atmosphere. After your options have been discussed, your Advocate will give you a journal to write down your thoughts in the next few days and book a follow up appointment.

If you made an appointment for Parenting Support, we’ll sit in our cozy support room and just chat. Maybe have a cup of tea together. We’re all moms here, so trust me when I say if you’re thinking it, we probably did too!!! Be vulnerable! Be transparent! We’ve been there!

Perhaps you’re needing some one on one time to really learn and understand what’s happening in your body and what to expect during childbirth. We understand it can be scary, especially to first time moms. We have specifically trained people at the centre, like Kim, a nurse practitioner, who will guide you through a personalized lesson plan. There are no questions off limits!

Or maybe you’re coming in because you really need material support. We’ll go through the same intake questionnaire with you. Chat about your unique situation, suggest some community resources and explain the Blessings Boutique policy and protocols. Then we’ll shop together! There’s a beautiful window  bench in the Blessings Boutique that’s perfect for girl chats and tea drinking too.
